What do we think of this shirt?

I saw it in the store and it doesn't look quite this bright. Do we like it? I can't make decisions on my own.

Wanted: maxi skirt

High school me would probably disagree with me now (mostly because these would've been dad-approved and that's SO not cool), but maxi skirts are super cute. Plus, it means no shaved legs needed! I need one immediately.

Tie-dye. I'm probably not hippie enough to pull this off but I really like it for some reason. Also, my stomach looks exactly like that. Just FYI.

DIY shirt

I decided to fancy up a man's undershirt Sunday with some paint. In real life, I probably won't be brave enough to wear it with leggings (would that be brave or tacky? Sometimes I really can't tell), but hopefully it'll still be cute!

Update: My dad says tacky, so that probably means super cute.

Springfield clothing

(This has nothing to do with The Simpsons. Sorry to disappoint.)

I haven't done much shopping since I've been here, besides the obligatory supermarket runs twice a week (I say supermarket because "grocery store" is a completely foreign term to the Europeans I know). So on Saturday,  I wandered through the center hoping to maybe find a bag, some boots and something cool to put in my apartment when I get home and become an adult. Two out of three's not bad.

I did go into some smaller stores, which I usually avoid because overeager cloggies working on commission intimidate me, but I ended up at a department store for my new boots and bag.  It was some combination of initials. There are a lot of those here, besides the obvious(ly awesome) H&M. P&C maybe? V&D? Doesn't matter.

The bag is from this cute brand called Springfield. It's called Cheeks, presumably because that's what it hits when you walk.

I might have to go back to get this sweater and this dress (a girl can dream of warm Texas weather, right?).

Mitten smitten

Growing up in Texas, I can't remember if I ever had a chance to wear those adorable mittens with the strings that keep you from losing them. I also can't think of a time when I've seen little kids wearing them, since you don't really need mittens to walk from the house to the car in 40-degree (that's 4.5ish-degree here) weather.

So I'm loving seeing all the kids swinging their mittens around. I love these (all off etsy).

Hot Little Hands in Dutch Blue. How appropriate.

Don't bother telling me how dirty these would get. They're still pretty.

And the award for creepiest mittens (sans string) goes to:
