If you like honey mustard...

... you'll probably like this chicken. It's a Weight Watchers recipe, but I didn't use lite honey mustard so I'm sure it wasn't quite so healthy. All you need is chicken, honey mustard, dill, salt and pepper, and cornflakes (I didn't use the scallions).

This one might go in the regular rotation, along with this definitely not healthy french fried onion chicken.

Mini chicken pot pies

I stole this recipe from a high school classmate's blog, but her site doesn't seem to be working anymore, so I'll post it so the world can keep enjoying this super easy dinner. And yes, by world I mean the four people who read this. Hello, world!

Ingredients:
-1 can cream of chicken soup
-1 large can of canned chicken
-1 can of peas and carrots (or whatever other veggies you want in there)
-6 tablespoons of cream cheese
-2 cans of biscuits

Mix all the ingredients (minus the biscuits). Get someone else to open your cans of biscuits so you don't have to deal with the scary pop. Separate each biscuit in two, spread them out a bit, put a spoonful of ingredients in the center of one. Stick the other on top and seal up the edges good. Then just follow the baking instructions for the biscuits.

This recipe makes a LOT (at least for two people), so be prepared to eat it all week. If you're like me and Will, though, you probably won't mind.

Etsy buys

Besides getting the necklace I talked about a couple posts back from a very smart guy for Valentine's Day, I also bought a couple things from Etsy shops recently. I feel like I could find something new on Etsy every day...which is why I have to limit my activity.

This coaster-sized desk calendar is sitting on my desk at work and brightening every day (or at least the ones where I need to know what day it is).

And then these actual coasters. Not lying, I'm pretty sure I had a dream about these the other night. I wish I was lying actually, because that's pretty pathetic. I just like them so much!

Say hello to Augie

Here's Augie, the sweetest, cuddliest cat at the rescue center (and the less sweet, slightly less cuddly and much much louder cat at my apartment). He's about 11 months old now and is a blue tabby, according to the vet...'s receptionist. Whatever. She totally knows what she's talking about.

I adopted him about 3.5 weeks ago, and since then he's taken over my apartment, gotten more and more curious each day (just when I think my stuff is safe), and has gotten a little fat because I think I've been feeding him too much (but he's going on a diet!).

Augie and I are starting to get into a groove. I make his poops disappear each night and he wakes me up each morning by meowing. Very thoughtful. I also do lots of other things for him; I'm starting to think our relationship isn't very balanced in the give-and-take kind of way, so I'm going to make him start pitching in while he gets to stay home all day long. No more freeloading.

He and Will are getting along just fine. (See evidence of cuddling above and below.) Except Augie smells worse, which makes Will jealous. I'm confident, though, that Will can up his game.

If anyone wants to come play with him right before bed to tire him out or feed him some Gas X, be my guest!

Rachel Jablonski Designs

I found out the other day that my friend's sister is living two of my dreams: having actual artistic talent and having her own Etsy shop. (Feel free to compliment me in the comments about my own artistic talent. Lies are encouraged, especially if they're going to make me feel really really awesome.)  She's got some little paintings and necklaces with her watercolors inside. I spent a while wondering how she could do watercolors so small until I read that they're high-quality reproductions of her work. Still impressed but not in the same way I'm impressed with people who paint on grains of rice.

This little guy's my favorite.

If this is your style, go buy her stuff. If it's not, go buy something for me. Deal?
